
Rawan AlButairi is a dynamic Saudi executive with over 15 years of leadership across government, finance, policy, and international affairs. Appointed CEO of the Saudi Esports Federation (SEF) in August 2025, she continues to advance the National Gaming & Esports Strategy, projected to deliver $13.3 billion in GDP contribution and 39,000 jobs by 2030. She also serves as Secretary-General of the GCC and Arab Esports Federations, where she has built strong regional collaboration.
Previously, Rawan led global partnerships and corporate affairs at SEF and also served briefly as acting CFO. Before that, she held strategic roles at Saudi Aramco, the Communications, Space & IT Commission, and the Ministry of Finance during Saudi Arabia’s G20 Presidency.
An MBA graduate from IESE Business School and holder of a BSc in Finance (Honors) from the University of Maine, Rawan began her career in banking before moving into leadership roles across both the public and private sectors. She is also the co-founder of the WEF Global Shapers Alkhobar Hub and founder of Edugo Arabia, initiatives that continue to empower Saudi youth through mentorship, digital literacy, sustainability, and entrepreneurship.
