Executive Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer, Breeders’ Cup Limited

Justin McDonald brings more than 25 years of marketing experience to his role at Breeders’ Cup Limited, where he is responsible for the global management and strategic advancement of the Breeders’ Cup brand. In this capacity, he oversees the development and execution of marketing initiatives across brand awareness, ticketing, broadcast, and wagering for the organization’s premier two-day international championship festival as well as the Breeders’ Cup Challenge Series.

Mr. McDonald’s oversight includes a wide range of disciplines, including brand management; digital and social marketing; website and mobile app strategy; fan engagement; creative development; consumer insights and research; media planning; CRM; public relations; and agency management.

Before joining Breeders’ Cup, Mr. McDonald held senior marketing and sponsorship roles with Empire Racing Associates, LLC and the National Thoroughbred Racing Association (NTRA). He began his career in New York City at the advertising agency Merkley + Partners.

Mr. McDonald is based out of the Breeders’ Cup New York City office.
