The 41st Asian Racing Conference (ARC) was first staged in 1960 and is now a major event in the international racing calendar. Attracting and engaging the foremost leaders in racing and sports, along with other influential stakeholders, the ARC shapes global and regional agendas to continuously advance the racing industry.

For the first time since 2007, the conference returns to the Arabian Peninsula where the roots of the modern-day racehorse were established hundreds of years ago through foundation sires.

The Asian Racing Federation (ARF) and the Jockey Club of Saudi Arabia (JCSA) warmly welcome you to the 41st Asian Racing Conference which reflects the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s growing position as a major global horse racing destination.

The ARF is a regional federation comprising 28 national racing authorities and racing-related organisations from across Asia, Oceania, Africa and the Middle East. The ARF is formally linked with the International Federation of Horseracing Authorities (IFHA).

The purpose of the ARF is to promote the sustainable growth of thoroughbred racing and breeding within the ARF footprint and positively contribute to the sport’s global development by supporting its members to achieve the highest consistent standards of integrity, welfare and quality control, and provide enduring benefits for their stakeholders and broader society. Established in 1965, the JCSA is pursuing a long-term strategy to rise from its status as a Part II country to a Part I country in the International Federation of Horseracing Authorities ranking lists. Chaired by HRH Prince Bandar Bin Khalid Al Faisal, the JCSA is charged with building a world-class horse racing industry that has a positive impact on the country’s sporting, cultural and economic sectors, while promoting Saudi Arabia internationally and strengthening racing across the GCC.

The JCSA runs over 110 race nights each year across King Abdulaziz Racecourse in Riyadh and King Khalid Racecourse in Taif. Their annual highlight, the Saudi Cup carries a purse of US$20m and is the World’s richest race.
