
HE Mohammed Saeed Al Shehhi serves as Director-General of the Emirates Racing Authority (ERA), leading the development of the UAE’s horse racing sector into a globally competitive industry founded on integrity, excellence, and innovation. The Authority continues to strengthen racing governance, expand international partnerships, and promote sustainable practices that ensure the sport’s long-term growth.
He is also the Chair of the Gulf Horseracing Council, which fosters collaboration among Gulf countries to unify regulations, exchange expertise, and enhance the competitiveness of regional horse racing.
In March 2024, he was elected Vice-Chairman of the Asian Racing Federation (ARF), reinforcing the UAE’s prominent position within the global horse racing community. Through this role, he advances cooperation among Asian racing authorities, enhances transparency, and supports the adoption of modern technologies to improve race integrity and audience engagement.
Beyond horse racing, Al Shehhi serves as Secretary General of the UAE Media Council, leading national efforts to shape and modernize the country’s media landscape. He oversees initiatives to update media regulation, introduce new legislation, and establish standards that empower licensed media entities. The Council’s launch of the Media Regulation Law marked a key milestone toward a transparent and investment-friendly media environment aligned with the UAE Vision 2071.
He is also the Chief Executive Officer of A.R.M. Holding and the Dubai Real Estate Centre, overseeing strategic investments that drive sustainable development and community progress.
Previously, Al Shehhi held senior positions including Deputy CEO of Dubai Media Incorporated (DMI), where he led digital transformation initiatives and introduced the corporation’s first HD channels. Earlier, he served as COO and later CEO of Dubai Design District (d3), developing it into the region’s first integrated creative hub and fostering partnerships that supported innovation and emerging talent.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the American University of Sharjah, and a Master’s Degree in Digital Wireless Communications from the University of Leeds.
