
Dr Eliot Forbes is the Chief Executive of the Racing Integrity Board of New Zealand and has more than 30 years of experience in racing administration, wagering and veterinary science across Australasia, the UK and the Middle East.
He has held multiple senior leadership roles, including CEO positions at Racing Queensland, Tasracing, RACELAB Pty Ltd and AniMark Pty Ltd. Dr Forbes has also contributed extensively to industry governance, serving on the Board of Racing Australia and chairing its Retirement of Racehorses Committee from 2013 to 2018. As a founding member and Chair of the International Forum for the Aftercare of Racehorses (IFAR), he continues to advocate for the global advancement of racehorse aftercare standards. He has co-authored several peer-reviewed publications on equine health, performance and welfare.
Dr Forbes holds an Honours degree in Veterinary Science and an MBA, is a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
