Douglas Robinson

Brought up in both the United Kingdom and Hong Kong, Douglas holds a BSc and a MSc in Economic History from the London School of Economics. He has worked across a variety of industries in both jurisdictions before joining the Hong Kong Jockey Club in 2013.

Douglas is a director of the International Federation of Horse Racing Authorities Council on Anti-Illegal Betting and Related Crime, where he enhances international co-operation among horse racing operators, regulators, intergovernmental organizations, government agencies and NGOs to better combat the threat of illegal betting and other crime risks to the integrity of sport.

Douglas also heads up the International Illegal Betting Research & Liaison team within the Security & Integrity Department of The Hong Kong Jockey Club, where he looks to uphold the racing and betting integrity of the Club, as well as Hong Kong’s wider sports community as a member of Hong Kong’s Sports Governance and Integrity Alliance.
